Calonder Landscape Architecture is an award winning practice specialised in the design of private landscapes and gardens in the UK and Switzerland.


Born in London of swiss origin, Augusto Calonder grew up in Bath where he acquired his first exposure to gardens, architecture and Art in an Edwardian italienate garden. He studied at the University of Gloucestershire (UK) where he graduated with a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture in 1995. Augusto then worked freelance in London before establishing Calonder landscape architecture in 1997. Since 2004 the practice has been based near Lausanne in Switzerland.
 

The office is currently engaged with a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from the design of private gardens and the management of historic landscapes through to urban design competitions, exhibition gardens and environemtal Art installations. The practice works both independently and in collaboration with architects and engineers in the UK, Switzerland and mainland Europe.
 

Augusto Calonder is a member of the Swiss Federation of Landscape Architects FSAP and of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA.
