Landscape design for a private Art gallery and studio in Wiltshire.
The design is centred on the creation of a courtyard space providing a powerful setting for the right angled gallery complex converted by Simon Morray-Jones Architects. Enclosure is created by the buildings themseleves and a rock filled gabion wall arrangement.

The courtyard serves as a multi-functional space conceived for both pedestrian and vehicle use. Concrete strips are embedded in the compacted gravel surface giving direction and depth to the space. Loose groupings of Himalayan Birch add a vital third dimension to the interior of the courtyard whilst maintaining a light and transparent atmosphere.
